evolution of signs 4,5,6 - Cancer,leo,virgo

When it comes to the evolution of our consciousness, Astrology can be used as a tool to gain deeper insight into the different stages of human development and how we can stay in tune with the rhythms of the universe. Each sign represents a step in the evolution of our embodied souls through the cosmos (Kurczak, Rasi Class 1). In this way, each sign is a building block to the next and we can see this evolutionary process unfold as we look to the numbers associated with each sign. The numbers hold the essence, and the signs are the descriptions of the energy (Kurczak, Rasi Class 1). We can look to the numbers of each sign of the Zodiac to consider the different stages of human consciousness and the signs themselves being the energy to be balanced. We will unravel this evolutionary process by looking at numbers 4, 5 and 6 associated with the signs Cancer, Leo and Virgo.

We start with the number one, holding the essence of the initial birth or beginning of awareness. The number one is where all activities originate from and where new things come into expression. When we add one to this awareness, we get the number two, holding the essence of survival and responsibility. Number two is after the birth and is the capacity to keep this new awareness alive, the ability to stabilize and gather the necessary resources to continue. When we add the first two numbers, one and two together, we get to number three, holding the essence of exploration. Number three comes from the security of number 2 and allows for the awareness to become stronger by developing skills as well as concepts and notions about the environment in which it exists.

We begin our exploration at sign number 4, Cancer. Number 4 comes after the exploration of number 3 and holds the essence of contentment. This sign is related to our ability to feel secure within. Number 4 teaches us that when we allow our awareness (#1) to explore and become stronger by making mistakes (#3) that we develop inner security and contentment on our path (#4). We also learn from number 4 that our ability to stabilize our energy (#2) paired with our ability to accumulate resources (#2) will show us our capacity for emotional security within (#4). In this stage, we now know that we can gather the necessary resources to sustain and manifest (#2) the initial impulse (#1), and we’ve explored and developed our own skills (#3) to feel secure in our understanding of the world (#4) (Kurczak, Rasi Class 1).

Cancer being a water sign tells us that this energy is sensitive and instinctive. Implying that this stage of consciousness is strongly associated with the emotions and feeling secure in your sense of self. Cancer is described as a crab, symbolizing this comfort in being in water or emotional territory. Crabs also have many legs making them quick in changing direction and able to approach situations from different perspectives. This tells us that a healthy and balanced Cancer or number 4 will feel confident in the direction of the life path because of the emotional security felt within. Cancer is known as a Cardinal sign, making this energy outgoing and enterprising (Art and Science of Vedic Astrology pg. 34). Telling us that naturally, Cancer energy is friendly and resourceful. Ruled by the moon, the mother of the Zodiac, makes this sign feminine and receptive. We look to Cancer to show us our capacity to develop inner contentment and feel secure in our sense of self. Once we have fully developed number 4, Cancer, we are ready to be tested in our ability to make sacrifices to continue down our path.

Number 5 holds the essence of discernment. It shows us where we are going and what sacrifices will be needed to support our commitment to our path. Number 5 shows us how strong or weak our ability to seek out experiences to grow and evolve will be. It is where we are being called to make choices to continue down our path. We learn from number 5 that when our awareness (#1) feels content (#4) that we begin making sacrifices to support our path (#5). Number 5 also teaches us that our ability to be responsible for our path (#2) while exploring different possibilities (#3) will allow us to find our own unique expression (#5). In this stage we develop the capacity to deal with change and maintain our core successfully over time (Kurczak, Rasi Class 2). We have taken the initial impulse (#1), gathered what was needed to sustain it (#2), started exploring our interests (#3) to feel secure in our understanding of the world (#4) and now we develop the wisdom to know what will allow this energy to continue (#5). Number 5 reveals what is important to us, and the sacrifices needed to continue.

Leo, the fifth sign of the Zodiac is a fire sign, telling us that this fifth stage of consciousness brings inspiration and motivation. It is a stage where we feel something deeper within guiding us. The lion symbolizes Leo, a strong, fierce, leader that is willing to protect the kingdom at any cost. Ruled by the Sun, the Father of the Zodiac, indicating that this masculine energy is active and assertive. This tells us that a balanced Leo will feel confident in the path ahead and understand the sacrifices needed to stay the course. Leo is a fixed sign of the Zodiac, revealing that this stage is resistant to sudden change and prefers a steadfast approach. In its balanced state Leo energy is steady and confident with the ability to discern what is true to their path. There is a deep wisdom known that whatever is held within the mind will manifest into reality. We look to Leo to show us what is important in our life and worth sacrificing for. Once we have made all the necessary sacrifices to sustain this energy, we step into the stage of our devotion and discipline to continue down the path.

The number 6 holds the essence of devotion. It comes after number 5 and is the stage where we find sparks of the divine within our daily lives (Kurczak, Rasi Class 2). We feel this deep sense of inner fulfillment and we translate that through our accomplishments. Number 6 shows us how we fit into the routine of life and the way we relate to our daily activities. We learn from number 6 that when we can sustain our awareness (#2) with inner peace (#4) we are open to finding fulfillment in our daily lives (#6). The number 6 also teaches us that when we are making mistakes (#3) and developing new skills (#3) that we are devoting our energy to our own unique expression (#6). In this sixth stage, working meticulously for the pure joy of it and having a disciplined approach is required to fulfill our own creative expression. We have taken the initial impulse (#1), accumulated the necessary resources (#2) to explore (#3) and develop the inner contentment (#4), to make the required sacrifices (#5) to devote ourselves (#6) to the initial energy of number one.

Virgo being an Earth sign, tells us that this energy is naturally grounding and supportive. This is a sign that is practical in their approach and has developed deep roots. In this stage, finding fulfillment within our daily lives is the main objective. Ruled by Mercury, this sign is about making life more efficient and effective. There is a strong motivation to solve problems in this stage, due to the tamasic quality of Virgo. Sign 6 is described as a maiden, having feminine qualities, indicating the calm and passive nature of this sign. There is a deep commitment to the path and an elevated consciousness in Virgo. Being a mutable sign of the Zodiac tells us that this sign is adaptable and able to make changes when necessary. This changeable nature allows Virgo to step back and see the bigger picture to make improvements as needed. We look to Virgo to show us where we will find sparks of divine consciousness and how we will relate to our daily activities. When we have reached this place of devotion in our lives, we are now ready to share our gifts with the world.

As we continue down this path of the evolution of our consciousness, we continue to evolve this initial energy into something greater. Each number builds from the energy of the previous, showing us that there is a natural progression to the evolution of our human consciousness. Astrology helps us to stay in tune with this evolution by sharing the natural wisdom of the universe. We can use this wisdom to gain deeper insights into what will drive the momentum of our life path to continue.
